Mr. Beffa joined ACP Technologies as a project manager in the summer of 2019 after working as an engineer with DTE Energy, a southeastern Michigan-based Electric and Gas utility company.  With DTE, Justen focused on controls, cybersecurity infrastructure, and six-sigma process improvement.  Specifically, he led several projects to the commission, and upgraded and improved the security and controls for the infrastructure of the DTE Renewable Energy Portfolio.

Justen now leads the ACPT Program Management Team in his role as Operations Manager.  His current focus is on forging strategic partnerships between ACPT, its affiliates, and industry leaders to meet the emerging needs of our nation’s warfighters with the application of ACPT’s unique carbon-based materials. 

Justen’s first degree was a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of the Pacific in 2010. Upon graduating, Mr.Beffa joined Teach for America (TFA), where he was recruited to join the re-launching of the non-profit’s Detroit Area headquarters. During his time as a member of the education-focused division of Americorps, Mr. Beffa taught a combined 5th and 6th-grade classroom that revolved around a self-developed curriculum based on critical thinking and college preparation.  

Justen returned to the classroom after his TFA experience and graduated from Oakland University with two additional Bachelors of Engineering degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
